Zombies! Oranize Again!!

So I am really proud of how this came out. It took me quite a while. After the last Z!O!! picture I was dissatisfied because of the notebook lines so I decided to draw a robot Icarus and this is the result. I hope you like it.

P.S. I think I got all the Zombies! Organize!! inspired drawings out of my system but you should still check them out at http://www.myspace.com/zombiesorganize if you haven't already.

Zombies! Organize Some More!!

So I've had Zombies! Organize!! on the brain ever since last Thursday when I heard them play with Freezepop as you may already know. Anyways, I drew this today in computer architecture. It is inspired by the lyrics "I eat lightning bolts and shit doomsday!" from the song Robotacus.

Natura on Tuesday

So I went and hung out at Natura tonight. I made three more drawings beyond these but gave them away. Like I've said, if you would like a Matt Lavoie original sketch come hang out with me at Natura (Next time I'll be there is Thursday). Also, I ran out of paper so I drew these two on some pages of Orlando Weekly.

Collaboration!

Okay here are two amazing collaborations or "Pass the Doodle" as I like to call them. The second one never got finished as you can see because Sammy had to take off after her set, but it is still awesome nonetheless. This first one though, it totally looks like it was drawn by one person and blows me away. Good work team!

So here are some more of Mark's drawings. I love how you are branching out and working more with your imagination Mark. Thumbs up, these are great!

Birthday Present

So I got another image birthday present that makes me really happy. Thanks Kelly! I lurve juuuuuu!

Colored Cupcakes!

So I know I am lazy or whatever because I still haven't delivered on the colored version of that cupcake background. Well...now I don't have to! My AWESOME friend Brian Shea went ahead and colored it for me so here you all go, the most amazing desktop background to ever exist. Love, Matt and Brian

P.S. To get it in its full glory click on the picture and then click on the Download button to get the HUGE size! You won't be sorry.

Zombies!Organize!!

is an amazing band I saw last night. You should definitely listen to some of there music. Anyways, they inspired me to draw this:

And I drew this a while ago but their turtle song made me think of it. ^___^

Penguins!

Brother Micah said this on campus today and I felt it deserved to be illustrated.

Plastic Stars

As you can probably tell, this was inspired by the song Plastic Stars by Freezepop. Particularly the lines in the lyrics "Lets make my bed a playground."

I saw them play last night at AKA and the show was amazing. I even threw panties on the stage whenever they sang Sprode. Freezepop forever! ^___^

Some Drawings

This didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to but hopefully you get the idea. The girl is supposed to be made out of the guitar strings. Maybe I will try to make this look the way I want it to at a later date.

Some More Madness

Don't ask me what this is...

Collaboration w/ Mark

So the only rule was draw until you pick up your pen, and when you do pass it to the other person. I am all of the red and Mark is the blue. I really enjoyed drawing these with him.

Mark's Drawings

And here are some of Mark's drawings. He also contributed to our artistic collaboration in the next post.

Lonely Monster

Here is another sketch I drew while hanging out at Natura.

He only looks like he is smiling because his mouth goes above either side of his eye...he really is rather sad.

Pass The Doodle

Five men came together (Mark, John, Jason, Kyle, and me) and passed two index cards around a table with a black sharpie and a red sharpie. This is what conspired:

It was quite entertaining and hopefully I will do more of these from time to time.

Somewhere Only We Know

I built this bench with my own two hands out of a limb I cut out of a tree (it needed to be cut down as it was hanging in the way). Anyways, so this bench is one of my proudest accomplishments and is, I hope, still sitting happily in a field with some horses in Claremore, Oklahoma. There is a longer story that thoroughly explains the initials and the backwards J but you may already know it and I'm not going to tell it here.

More Valentines!!!

Hey look, even more!

Valentines!

So here is the deal. Pick your favorite valentine (or valentines) and save them to your computer. Then print them out! Then put someone you like's name and your name in the appropriate fields and deliver. ^___^

These are just three of the nine valentines I drew tonight. The other six were given out to lovely people at Naturas. So if you want a Matt Lavoie original come to open mic night at Naturas on Thursday night and ask me really sweetly (or buy me a coffee (or give me money (the money will probably be used to buy coffee))).

(Notice that the guitar is about to plug into the amp)

P.S. Anyone who got a sketch tonight (or ever) and would like to share it with the world, feel free to scan it or even take a picture of it with a digital camera and e-mail it to me at mindlessphilosophy@gmail.com.

Im Flying!

This is an epic comic I have been working on for a while. Enjoy!
